H. Brian Ridley - Department Head, Director of High School Bands

Mr. Ridley is a native of Georgia where he attended Haralson County High School. After high school, he attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, earning his Bachelor of Music Degree. Currently Mr. Ridley is finnishing his Masters degree in tuba performance at the University of West Georgia. Mr. Ridley is an active teacher, arranger and performer who serves as principal tuba for the Rome Festival Brass as well as tuba instuctor at The Seven Hills School of Music in Rome. Arriving in Bremen in 1999, was formerly assistant band director / staff arranger at Armuchee High School and Band director at Taylor County High School. As president of Will-Compose-For-Food Music, Ltd., Mr. Ridley has produced dozens of arrangements for marching band, composed extensively for tuba, and concert band, and has been published in the Georgia Music News. Mr. Ridley is a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), Music Educators National Conference (MENC), the International Tuba and Euphonium Association (ITEA), and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
